Deadline (15)

A few days before the final exams, an anonymous notice is scattered across a prestigious private high school, warning that a suicide will occur in seven days.

As the principal and teachers try to identify the sender, students and staff are forced to confront the pressures of academic achievement, family expectations and the school system itself. With the deadline approaching, difficult questions emerge about the true meaning of education - and whether the course of events can still be changed.

The latest film from Hong Kong director Kiwi Chow (Revolution of Our Times), Deadline is an engrossing, Orwellian thriller about the nature of authority and the systems that govern our lives.
