The Muppet Christmas Carol (U)

Charles Dickens’ classic wintertime cautionary tale gets a fuzzy, felty makeover courtesy of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppets – ably assisted by a thoroughly game Michael Caine.

One fateful Christmas Eve, the greedy, penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Together with kind, humble Bob Cratchit and his family, these Spirits open Scrooge’s eyes - and his heart - to the true meaning of Christmas.

A Christmas Carol is the story that launched countless adaptations, but few come close to the heart and humour of the Muppets’ inimitable interpretation.

This Christmas, we present the full version of The Muppet Christmas Carol - including the song When Love is Gone, which was cut from the film’s original release.

Want to watch with the family? The Muppet Christmas Carol also screens on the afternoons of Sun 20 Dec and Thu 24 Dec.
