Meet Me in St. Louis (U)

The Smith family lead a happy, comfortable life in St. Louis at the beginning of the 20th century. The city is set to host the 1904 World's Fair, bringing with it the promise of a bright future.

For seventeen-year-old Esther Smith, her future may well be wrapped up with the boy she has fallen in love with, who has just moved next door. But when her father announces that he has been transferred to New York for business and that his family must follow him, Esther and her siblings are distraught at the thought of leaving St. Louis, their lives and the World’s Fair behind.

A warm-hearted musical family drama, filmed in glorious Technicolour, Meet Me in St. Louis is a beloved piece of Hollywood history. Judy Garland leads an all-star cast, and delivers iconic musical numbers including Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
