Step into the world of Philippine Street Culture

Step into the colorful world of Philippine street culture and master the art of Jeepney typography. Known for its electric colors and "loud-and-proud" lettering, the Jeepney is more than just transport, these vehicles are a canvas for Filipino identity and local pride.

In this workshop, you will learn the basic sign painting techniques and the specific characteristics of Jeepney typography. You’ll then use these skills to create your own personalized sign, incorporating meaningful words, place names from your hometown, or personal affirmations.
You’ll leave the workshop with a deeper insight into Filipino culture, a new lettering technique for your own practice, and a custom-made sign to display on your wall or door.

All are welcome—no prior experience is needed to come and learn about this unique island tradition.

This workshop is produced by VOICE ESEA to launch exhibition SALO SALO: Come Together on exhibition in HOME’s Café Bar Inspire Gallery from Mon 8 Jun – Sun 6 Sep 2026.
